bye!

Take time for romance, playfulness, and laughter today; recognize the beauty all around you. You don’t need to be in a relationship to do any of this but, for some of you, one may just be right around the corner…

Out of curiosity what is the worst arthurian book that you love? as in, it’s a bad book but it’s so much fun!
i’m working my way through quite the stack of arthurian legend books and i’ve found every single one interesting if not enjoyable. i’ll star my favourites.
the story of king arthur:
- le morte d’arthur (or ‘the death of king arthur’ in english) by thomas malory
- lancelot du lac by anonymous, trans. corin corley
- the once and future king by t.h. white
- king arthur and his knights of the round table by roger lancelyn green
- the forever king by molly cochran and warren murphy
- the mists of avalon* by marion zimmer bradley (marion zimmer bradley is not an author i endorse in any way, and i suggest google her to see if you want to engage in her work)
non-fiction and analysis of king arthur:
- the betrayal of arthur* by sara douglass
- king arthur’s enchantresses: morgain and her sisters in arthurian tradition by carolyne larrington
- king arthur and the grail: arthurian legends and their meaning by richard cavendish
- king arthur’s place in prehistory: the great age of stonehenge by w.a. cummins
tv and film:
- monty python and the holy grail (1975)*
- king arthur: legend of the sword (2017)*
- merlin (2008-2012)
The betrayal of Arthur is a bit… More like facts mixed with headcanons than actual facts (Douglass only has like… Four sources and she uses sentences like “in the majority/often in arthuriana” just to mean those three four sources)
