Arthurian movies that are actually nice and good and fun even if some of them are a bit trashy
never forget the good trashy movies

Morgana: Can I offer you anything? Cream, sugar, cyanide?
Arthur: What was the last one?
Morgana: … sugar.
Is there an Arthurian fandom? Like people that are into anything Arthurian in nature?
There’s a bunch of us! On arthurianetwork you might find some blogs (i have yet to change the pics since that tragic photobucket incident)

Netflix Orders TV Series ‘Cursed’ From Frank Miller & Tom Wheeler Based On Book Reimagining King Arthur Legend
IDK–I liked the aesthetic of ‘Sin City’, especially the first one. Its no apologies, in your face, pretty well stereotyping alpha male gun-slingers with feisty, slinky kitties worked for a story that didn’t try to be anything other than entertaining.
I’m just not sure the same thing will translate well with the tales of subRoman/Dark Age Britain, or even the Norman Knights a Makeovers of the later romances.
After the last many disappointments at trying resurrect the Tales of the Arthuriad onto the screen, I just fear if this flops…well, there ain’t no lady in a lake to catch the sinking sword here. If ya’ know what I mean…
I am cringing, but I am also curious, I guess

ELAINE OF BENOIC
Elaine of Benoic is the wife of King Ban and the mother of Lancelot. She is the sister of Evaine, wife of King Bors of Gaunnes and mother of Sir Lionel and Sir Bors. Her husband dies of grief when his enemy Claudas attacks his city, and Elaine goes to attend to him. She sets the infant Lancelot down, and he is taken by the Lady of the Lake, who raises him. Elaine sees her son for the first time in years just before she dies.
