Sadly this week no group chat/TV! I have the flu and I’ll have to work the whole day before the group chat, which means that I’ll need to catch some morning sleep 😦

I’m not sure if you or one of your followers can help. I’m looking for a book about a young Merlin, before he met Arthur. He had a rodent familiar and released a demon that killed the head of his school… I’ve been looking for the title or book for years!

Unfortunately I’ve never heard of this novel, but opefully someone will know about this and recognize the plot!

I STARTED RESEARCHING ARTHURIAN LEGEND FOR SOMETHING AND I FOUND OUT THAT GEOFFREY OF MONMOUTH WAS AN ACTUAL PERSON AND NOT JUST A FICTIONAL CHARACTER THROWN IN MERLIN FOR THE HELL OF IT

What’s really neat is if you read TH White’s The Once and Future King, Sir Thomas Malory (author of La Morte Darthur) is a character that shows up at the end on the night of the last battle.

even Taliesin (who often in literature/media is a seer somehow related to Merlin) was very real and wrote arthurian poems back in the 6th century
