Hey! Classes are over and I’m finally back to doing some Merlin sketches! This is a new version of my previous Merlin sketch. I kind of lost touch with my first sketch and wanted to start something new, so here he is! In color this time. I may feature Athuisa or Archimedes later in my process as well.

Well, yes, I ship them. Never forget that in older versions of the arthurian tales (like the Historia Regum Britanniae of Geoffrey of Monmouth, dated 1136, or the Romans of Brut, a translation in French dialect of the Historia of 1155) Guinevere cheated Arthur with Mordred and not with Lancelot (Lancelot was created by Chretien of Troyes in his famous poem
Lancelot ou le Chevalier à la charrette)

Another read I’m hoping to start sometime soon! I’m missing being in school, so hopefully reading about one of my academic interests will do the trick. What’s nice is this particular edition is easy to read and has beautiful illustrations as well, so I won’t be giving myself a headache between shifts trying to put myself back into the mindset to read Medieval Lit (as I would be had I bought the Le Morte d’Arthur)

All right, I finally did it and just bought the Camelot audioplay from 1968 with Patrick Macnee as King Arthur. The label says Patrick Macnee acts the role of the King (so I guess there will be not singing, and I’m not sure if I should be glad about it or unhappy…).
