Strangely enough, there is actually a book where Nimue and Morgana are lovers! It’s called “Morgana” by Michel Rio (but I think it can only be found in French or Italian).

I know! I remember my very first fanfic being MorganaGuinevere because I was reading the episode where Guinevere sends Morgana away from Camelot because she took a lover (Guiomar or something like that),and I decided to read it as jealousy because yes.

I’ll never forget that I’ve never managed to find these two Arthurian movies:
– Young Arthur (2002)
– Morte d’Arthur (1984)
I usually like Ritchie’s movies and his humor and I wasn’t disappointed!
(some spoilers)
In general, I truly liked it, I like the whole flashforward/present scenes and how it is all about Arthur rising up. It really made me feel for Arthur, which in movies don’t happen a lot, and the scene where he gets the sword from the stone is the most exciting “take the sword” scene I’ve ever seen, not to mention the lady of the lake’s entry with how pressing and oppressing and scary Arthur’s destiny was for him. I love how centered around Arthur and his rise it all was. The fantasy part was a bit confusing, but the Mage’s magic was definitely worthy it. I wished they could have set some more enemies for the future movies- but I suppose if this is the only movie we will have, it is better this way.
About some weird (not necessarly bad) things: – I felt a little bit like they were using Mordred’s story: being created by the king (as in: being considered the enemy before even being able to grow up), being gathered with all the men of the same age, the boat/water that takes Arthur away. – I thought there was a bit too much killing of women. The lady at the brothel is killed, Igraine, Vortigern’s wife and daughter- it was a bit too much. And I was disappointed by Kay as she literally just had one line and we didn’t even know her name. – I was very disappointed when William revealed his name. I expected someone famous (Kay? Dinadan?) not… William, not after the whole build up for this character. In general I felt like they could have added a little more characters. I suppose we could expect it in the next movies (ha, as if they’ll ever make them). – The nazi salute? To Vortigern? Nope. That was unecessary.
