I know it’s Good Friday, so it will probably be not a good time!

Let me know!

Hello, sorry if it’s of no interest to you or your followers but I thought it might be. With a friend we recently launched a monthly podcast (in french, hence why it might not be interesting) called Rex Quondam Rexque Futurus (apparently I can’t link it here → Search : “Rex Quondam […] Radiokawa”) aiming to survey as much arthurian legends as we can. For now we’ve had three episodes : 1. the first sources 2. Welsh traditions + Saints’ Lives and 3. Geoffrey of Monmouth. Any feedback welcomed!

I am sorry for answering this late! Thank you!

This is for our French speaking friends : D

that arthurian “Legend of Tomorrow” episode with lesbian (or bisexual) Guinevere

Episode 2×12 of Legends of Tomorrow is all about Camelot! These superheroes (sort of) are walking through time to look for this spear, from what I understood from the preview.

I think the episode is quite enjoyable even without watching the rest of the season or knowing the characters. They locate a piece of the spear in the future, in 3000 d.C. but when the heroes arrive the spear has disappeared and they find out that there is another piece of the spear in 507 d.C. in Camelot, of course.

Spoilers from now on

If you want to avoid all this and directly jump into the Camelot part, you’ll find it at about 5 minutes in. One of the characters, Ray, is also a fan of arthurian legends, which makes it amazing.

They end up in Britain and while they’re walking in the woods where they are found by a knight on a horse and a small army. The knight has Arthur’s crest on the shield and of course, the knight is Queen Guinevere, who was looking for the Black Knight. They all arrive in Camelot, at the room of the Round Table, and they meet Arthur that, to be sure these strangers are not allies of the Black Knight, calls the help of Merlin (who is a known character in the series, but I have no idea who she is).
They all have a happy feast, but Arthur is out looking for adventure and of course he meets the main villain who is now an ally of the Black Knight. Arthur is captured.

At the feast we find out that Guinevere used to be a warrior and that Galahad is all dreamy eyes and adorable. When the villain takes Arthur, under mind control, back at Camelot, he decides he will free him only in exchange for the spear and in the fight Galahad gets killed by Arthur himself.

Guinevere has to lead the knights of the Round Table to fight against the enemy of mind controlled Arthur and mind controlled knights. The arthurian fan character, Ray, decides to follow Guinevere in battle, even if it’s a desperate one, because Camelot is important for him, as once it had been very important for a very young him.

At the same time, the other characters decide to steal the sword in the stone, as the spear is hidden there. Merlin tries to stop them because she wants to defend Camelot and because she is in love with Arthur, but at the end she knows that the spear has to be taken away even if it means leaving Camelot to fall against the mind controlled knights.

But because Ray decides to stay in Camelot and fight (and is made a knight by Queen Guinevere), his friends can’t leave. They work on a way to destroy the mind control, while Ray, Guinevere and Merlin, with their knights, fight in the battle.
Once Arthur and the knights are free from the mind control, Arthur attacks the main villain who is abandoned by the Black Knight. Ray follows the escaping Black Knight and they face each others in a duel.

Later, during the goodbyes, Merlin (Courtney) decides to stay in Camelot and Sara Lance (she is clearly supposed to be Lancelot), the Captain of the heroes, says goodbye to Queen Guinevere. Guinevere and Sara Lance have a romantic moment, where Guinevere asks Sara if she really has to leave. Ray interrupts them, as he is also there to say his goodbyes but when he leaves he reminds Sara Lance that every good legend ends with a kiss.

Sara returns to Guinevere and she kisses her.
