scribblingface:

King Arthur’s great halls was quite a disappointment I must say. Almost all generic medieval themed kitsch, no actual Arthurian merch in sight. Plus lots of the books are just grail conspiracies etc.

Ahhh that sounds like a disappointment. I have no idea why books about grail conspiracies are so popular in arthurian related things, I mean, okay I get why, but that should be a little part among a TON of other books

kieranhiggins:

aw, I wanted to be the newest non-AU author for a little while longer.

Post-Camelot is extremely intriguing, if not a little depressing.

If Merlin’s surly apprentice is not Nimueh or Morgana, I’ll be annoyed though.

ARTHURIAN ACTUALLY. Not funny. You will probably cry. And yes, this is how I spend my time. It’s a love story, like Romeo and Juliet but with everyone who wants to kill Arthur or have sex with Mordred.

The art I used:
Butler Charles Ernest: King Arthur
Edmund Blair Leighton: The Accolade (for Guinevere)
Mucha: Lorenzaccio (for Mordred)
George Frederick Watts: Galahad
Frank Cadogan Cowper: Lancelot Slays the Caitiff Knight Sir Tarquin (for Elaine)
Edward Blair Leighton: Godspeed (for Lancelot)
William Waterhouse: Lamia and the Knight (for Gawain)
William Waterhouse: Tristan and Isolde (for Agravaine)
Frederick Sandys: Morgan le Fay
William Waterhouse: The Tempest (for Morgause)

This TV’s official movie page for Sword of the Valiant – Released Aug 17, 1984

Can one man change the course of fate? Camelot’s most valiant warrior battles sorcerers, sages and the legendary Green Knight in this epic sci-fi adventure starring Miles O’Keeffe and Sean Connery.

Cast

  • Sean Connery
  • Cyrielle Claire
  • Peter Cushing
  • Trevor Howard
  • Leigh Lawson
  • Miles O’Keefe

39% fresh, which seems a little generous, tbh.

also i’m not sure why the cast list doesn’t include john rhys davies, because he is //glorious// in this.

(i love that he’s basically been doing syfy originals for forever, with the occasional indiana jones or lotr thrown in between seasons of sliders.)

i’m sure the dudes they got for the hobbit are all fine, but i would have just cast john rhys davies in thirteen different beards.

Mordred – webseries

Mordred is a French webseries of two seasons, you can find more here on facebook or watch it on youtube (only some eps of the first seasons have subtitles):

season 1

season 2

The authors of the series had to finish it at season 2, for lack of resources, but they posted the script of the beginning (or the whole? but I don’t think so) of what could have been season 3!

BTW… if some kind soul wants to write the subs of the episodes…
