Lucius Wolter as Lancelot in Camelot // Tecklenburg, 2005
Look at the wonderful book! Thank you so much for my birthday gift @fenland-witch – such a lovely surprise!
Tristan et Iseult, illustrations by Anna and Elena Balbusso (photo source). The OP says, Italian frescoes of the early Reanissance well maybe, I can’t argue really, art history is totally not my strong point. But idk I would say Flemish rather than Italian, Bosch, Breugel? something like that.
(the only book ever that I bought for the illustrations 🙂
Illustration by Aubrey Beardsley in Le Morte D’Arthur by Thomas Malory, 1893-1894

“- One day we will live in freedom again.”
“- Until then, we go unmarked in death as in life.”
Fiddling around with the Arthurian Monster Girls thing again, featuring some touched up Arthur and Guinevere.
Arthur: Hey, Kay, sorry I’m late, I was doing stuff and things…
Guinevere: I’m stuff.
Lancelot: And I’m things.
According to Adelaide, this is Marlin and Uncle Meaties
The first two glimpses at our holiday trip on the trial of the Arthurian Legend! ;))) Welcome to Tintagel, the supposed birthplace of our beloved Summer King! (I KNOW the first pic isn’t quite accurate then. If he really should’ve been there at all, he was only a babe… But I couldn’t resist… My phone has a photo taken in Pierrefonds showing Bradley James as Arthur from Merlin BBC for skin! (Photo credit: bleucitron) More pics from our journey are about to come – but there are choices to make, because they’re so many – and that’s a hard one. It’ll take time.) Anyway, enjoy these for now! ;D
Coming this September, from the same people who brought you ‘Oedipus, The Motherfucker(tm)’
