The progression of Mordred and Galahad’s relationship

‘well he’s talking to me,it’d be rude not to talk back’

‘well he’s sending a lot of time around me, it’d be rude to tell him to go away’

‘well he’s holding my hand,it’d be rude not to hold it back’

‘well he’s kissing m, it’d be rude not to kiss back’

‘well he’s confessing his love to me,it’d be rude not to return his feeling’

‘well he’s asking me to marry him,it’d be rude not to say yes’

Friendly reminder that in the Sofia the First Universe, Merlin is still the greatest sorcerer of all time.

Cedric is still an evil sorcerer (or he was until Sofia came along) but he worships the ground Merlin walks on.

Merlin still vanquished Morgana (but SPOILER ALERT she comes back)

Merlin is also daft as a brush, likes to teach magic and he sings.

He sings.

Now I very much like to imagine that most of this is Canon in the BBC Merlin Universe.

Also, please notice the giant excalibur statue

The Legend of King Arthur Episode 8 (end)

Mordred visits Guinevere with some fake news: Gawain has killed Lancelot in battle and Bors, in revenge, has attacked and killed Arthur. Mordred decides that he will marry Guinevere, now that he is king.
At the coronation, Mordred reveals that he has signed a treaty of peace with king Arcon of the Saxons. Bedivere is too suspicious of the news of Arthur’s death and decides to go to France to actually discover what happened. He also sends Griflet to help Guinevere escape into a convent.

Once in France, Bedivere finds Arthur well but the news of Mordred’s treachery is too much for the wounded Gawain. Lancelot himself is a guest in Bors’ castle, where Lancelot thinks of leaving for a life of prayer and Bors is more than happy to be reunited with his wife and love, feeling like this is where happyness really can be found, not dazzled by the dreams they once had. It’s not long before Lancelot leaves for his exile.

Morgan, as well, is not happy with what is happening, as she is against an alliance with the Saxons and the idea of someone else controlling Mordred. Refusing to serve Mordred anymore, Morgan leaves Camelot.

Arthur is back with his army, ready to face Mordred, who tries to find a way to defear his uncle who still has Excalibur. The Saxons refuse to fight for him until they see Mordred actually defeat Arthur and be the only ruler of Camelot. Now alone and with few men, Mordred rides towards Arthur, pretending to be surprised to see him in arms. They call a truce, until a sword is drawn. Morgan, afraid this will lead Arthur back to his throne, uses her magic to enchant a snake, leading to the start of the battle.  Mordred wounds Arthur and the king manages to kill his nephiew. After the battle is over, it is Bedivere who finds the wounded king.
Arthur asks him to take Excalibur and throw it in the lake and Bedivere obeys.

Satisfied with the end of the battle, Morgan arrives at the field, finding her wounded brother.  Slowly, Arthur realises Morgan didn’t stop Mordred because she wanted to see him dead. Finally seeing the truth, Arthur asks her why and Morgan explains that it’s because Arthur’s kin destroyed her world. Leaving him to die, Morgan walks away, having finally obtain everything she wanted.

Bedivere comes back to Arthur and leads him to the lake of Avalon. The lady of the lake reappears to take the diying Arthur away, and Morgan watches them, crying.

The show ends with an aged Lancelot going to visit Guinevere, now old and dying, in a convent. Lancelot stays with her, reassuring her that what they did, the good they did in the past, was not in vain, and that Camelot one day shall be restored. When Guinevere asks him if they will be there with Arthur, Lancelot promises that they will.
