Hey, there’s an upcoming book by Don Carleton “Arthur: Warrior and King”, whose blurb says “Guinevere was not Arthur’s wife but his mistress. Arthur was probably Irish and initially a warrior not a king. He fought on behalf of a named Irish king against whom he rebelled. Arthur was brain-damaged by the wars and died, unable to speak, on the Isle of Skye”. What do you think of these claims? Do u think there’s enough historical evidence 2 support these ideas abt such a shadowy character as Arthur?

Nope.

Jokes aside, is this an historical book?Ā

If it’s a novel, honestly, I can’t wait to read it! It sounds like a fun and original plot.

If it is a historical book, I guess we’ll find out the mysterious sources inside the book? I don’t doubt that the author, in this case, found something to support his claims and I am not an historian, also if I have to admit that I never read anything talking about Guinevere as Arthur’s mistress (maybe they mean that the real Guinevere was the false Guinevere? But I wouldn’t take the Lancelot Grail as an historical source), or Arthur being unable to speak? in Scotland?Ā
