Arthurian Inktober 2017 – 1-7 (week 1)

1. Swift – Perceval on the Devil-Horse (Lancelot-Graal, Continuation Manessier, etc.)
2. Divided
   – Gawain fighting against the people of Escavalon, aided by their
   princess with a checkboard as a shield while she throws chess pawns (Conte du Graal)
3. Poison –
   Cador striking the snake constricting Caradoc’s arm while he jumps to
   bite Guinier’s breas, in a pool of milk, unfortunately cutting Guinier’s
   nipple. (First Continuation)
4. Underwater – Lancelot raised by the Lady of the Lake underwater (from the Lanzelet onwards, then in the Lancelot-Graal, etc.
5. Long – Lancelot crossing the Sword Bridge in the Lancelot (ou Le Chevalier de la Charette) by Chrétien de Troyes.
6. Sword –
   The Lady of Lis’ son thrown into the fight by his mother in an attempt
   to stop it, trying to grab the shiny (and bloody) swords of
   Gawain (his father) and Bran de Lis (his uncle) (First Continuation)
7. Shy – Gawain swears fealty to the young Lady of the Short Sleeve after defending her against her sister
