With #neilgaiman and #jkrowling recommending this book, I think it is safe for me to expect to enjoy it. Yeah? #kubf18 #new #bloggingfromkarachi #readersofinstagram #readersinpakistan #midureads #paperbacks

Need to go on retreat now so I can actually read this ! Looks wonderful. #witchesofinstagram #arthurian #magic

Project I’m currently working on for my Illustration Studio class. We chose a book between the years of 1980-1999 and then redrew the cover in a new way. I chose The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. I never read it before (I read summaries to get an idea as to what it was about for the cover), but once I save up enough money for it I will def buy it!
I will upload the full cover when it’s complete. I finished the spine, now to do the back!

Let’s Read: The Sword in the Stone (Ch.13)
(Apologies for the abrupt name change; I wanted to more accurately reflect the piece I was reading and realized that as the edition I am using is an omnibus edition which re-sets the chapters after every book, I needed to switch over to the actual title instead of using the cover title.)
It’s Sunday evening and I’ve been busy all day so the tea part of @bibliophilicwitch’s Sunday tomes and tea has morphed into a gin & tonic. My literary accompaniment is the rather pretty Barnes & Noble version of Howard Pyle’s The Story of King Arthur and his Knights.
Another read I’m hoping to start sometime soon! I’m missing being in school, so hopefully reading about one of my academic interests will do the trick. What’s nice is this particular edition is easy to read and has beautiful illustrations as well, so I won’t be giving myself a headache between shifts trying to put myself back into the mindset to read Medieval Lit (as I would be had I bought the Le Morte d’Arthur)
What a beautiful cover!
The Story of King Arthur and His Knights by Howard Pyle
arthurian chronicles (1978 ed., cover illustration by geoffrey fraser)
I don’t even know
Rescued this cute little hardcover copy of King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table from a bargain shelf today – can’t wait to read it when I get the chance :’D
