The Legend of King Arthur Episode 4
Guido de la Porte arrives in Camelot and he is a kind awkward man, living in the shadow of his famous brother Mador de la Porte. Mordred declares that he also lives in shadow of his better three brothers, so he feels for Guido. This leads Arthur to welcome Guido to the court.
While Arthur is absolutely enamoured with Mordred’s kindness, Mordred and Agravaine spy on Lancelot and Guinevere, being too close for comfort. Mordred decides to tell Gawain and Gareth, but while Agravaine is telling them, seeing that their brothers don’t want to hear any word against the queen, Mordred pretends to have seen nothing. The king overhears them talking and Agravaine tells him of his fears about Lancelot and Guinevere. Even if Arthur reprimands Agrivaine, the worry for what the court might think now is there. He decides to create something to distract his knights and organizes a tournament.
Morgan and Mordred scheme together, Morgan reminding Mordred to be patient as she had been all those years, since her father was killed. She orders him to the Winchester tournament and be with Arthur. Lancelot, who is not supposed to be at the tournament, decides to partecipate anyway, in disguise, helped by an old friend who gives him a place where to stay. At his house, Lancelot meets his daughter Eleanor, who quicklys falls for him and the idea of the perfect adventurous knight. Lancelot accidentally hurts her (just a small bump! she has been hiding behind a curtain because her father didn’t want her to see Lancelot, and Lancelot thought it was an intruder) so, to make amends, he decides to accept her request: fighting with her favor.
Lancelot wins, but runs away before he is recognized and he is wounded while escaping. Gawain rides after him, to look for the mysterious knight who won the tournament. He arrives at Eleanor’s house and falls immediately in love with her. Gawain insists in declaring his love to her, scaring her so much that to make him stop he has to tell him that she gave her favor to a knight in Winchester. Soon, Gawain finds out it is Lancelot she meant. Gawain returns to court to declare that the winner had always been Lancelot, but he disappeared… but Gawain also adds that he found Eleanor, the lady Lancelot loves deeply. Arthur decides to ride with Gawain and talk to this Eleanor, while Guinevere listens in shock.
Morgan prepares some poisoned fruit, leaving it to be found by Guinevere and the knights. Instead of eating the fruit herself, Guinevere offers it to Guido, as a kindness. Guido is shily delighted, but, of course, he dies, poisoned. Immediately, Mordred starts asking Guinevere why she poisoned the poor knight, while Guido asks for revenge with his last words.
Go down to the lake, King Arthur. Take your sword. Take Excalibur and fear no man in battle.

King Uther Pendragon, King of sub Britain, father of King Arthur was at war for many years with the Duke of Cornwall, Gorlois. At some point in time they decided to put their differences aside and try for a peace union.
During celebrations Uther notices a beautiful woman named Igraine. Uther wanted her but she did not want Uther.
Igraine was faithful to her husband Gorlois, the Duke of Cornwall.
She informed her husband of Uthers advances and they left the court celebrations without informing anyone. Uther was upset and suffering for heartache for Igraine that he went back to war with Cornwall.
Uther’s condition was getting worse and his men set out to find Merlin.
Once Merlin arrived Uther told him what he most desired to end this war. Merlin offered a deal saying he will give Uther what he wants if he will give the child that is born from that union to him. Uther agreed.
Merlin disguised Uther to look like Duke Gorlois.
During battle the real Gorlois died and Uther in his disguise sneaked into Tintagel castle where Igraine was hiding.
That night Uther took Igraine to bed. Tricking her into thinking she was sleeping with her husband. Through this union King Arthur was born.
