Sire Percival
“Vortigern’s fate”
An illustration I wanted to do since almost two years now : young Merlin watching the epic, prophetic fight between the red and the white dragon that were sleeping under the hill on top of which King Vortigern wanted to build his tower.
Arthurian legends and Britain’s mythology are an awesome source of inspiration. AND a great excuse to paint over-the-top dragon fights.

Merry Christmas, or happy holidays, if that’s more your thing :).
(From left to right: Arthur, Gawain, Bedwyr and Cai. This is the first time I have drawn them together… The idea basically came from an Inktober prompt by @arthurian-mythia 😀 – so thanks for that!)
I would like to draw for christmas today, but
spent
all time in the game, lol
“And so she spoke
In the lapping of the land
Golden-tongued
Her whispers fickle jewels along the sand
Ephemeral and softly spoken”
Here’s King Arthur’s round table, from The Book of South Wales, the Wye, and the Coast by Samuel Carter Hall, 1861.
