Inktober 9 of my Legends and Tales: The Lady of Shalott.
I love this poem by Lord Tenysson, so have a piece of it:
“She left the web, she left the loom
She made three paces thro’ the room
She saw the water-flower bloom,
She saw the helmet and the plume,
She look’d down to Camelot.
Out flew the web and floated wide;
The mirror crack’d from side to side;
‘The curse is come upon me,’ cried
The Lady of Shalott.”

Doodle of King Arthur I did during my Art History class
This is beautiful! I love the pose

if you don’t have a mordred witnessing your downfall
then you’re not suffering hard enough

King Arthur has long been a favorite of mine, and periodically I go and do some sort of King Arthur related painting. Kinda nice to have related pieces to look back on and see how far I’ve come!
