Once and Future Queen. Finished a sketch of Guinevere. Doesn’t really look like adult Gwen, maybe a teenage princess version, haha. I think I’ll be doing a few of these finished sketches, where I’ll just leave the idea here, in between long projects. Also trying out editing type on Clip Studio Paint, it’s pretty awful considering the lack of options it has for the type tool, but doable.
@oldshrewsburyian made a list of Arthurian book recs, and when I saw this one on there, I just had to get it. I have always been interested in the origin of the King Arthur legend, so I am very excited for this story, which follows the warlord Artos the Bear as he fights against Anglo-Saxon invaders.

Myrddin Wyllt. Another finished sketch I started earlier. Oldish Merlin, kind of part dragon, hence the claw like hands.
I’ve been reading some of the original stories of King Arthur. I never knew just how much the affair between Guinevere and Lancelot set up the fall of King Arthur.
