FOX CONFIRMS PATRICK STEWART, REBECCA FERGUSON IN ‘THE KID WHO WOULD BE KING’

Patrick Stewart and Rebecca Ferguson have joined the cast of Joe Cornish’s “The Kid Who Would Be King,” which is being produced by Working Title for Twentieth Century Fox. The movie tells the story of Alex, a 12-year-old British schoolboy whose everyday problems are dwarfed by his discovery of the mythical sword Excalibur. “An epic adventure begins as Alex and his friends must thwart a medieval villain named Morgana, who is hell-bent on destroying the world,” according to a statement.

Louis Serkis (“Alice Through the Looking Glass”) stars as Alex. Newcomer Dean Chaumoo plays his best-friend Bedders, and Tom Taylor (“The Dark Tower”) and Rhianna Doris (“Secret Life of Boys”) play Lance and Kaye, who complete Alex’s band of would-be warriors. Angus Imrie (“Kingdom”) plays a young incarnation of the wizard Merlin, with Stewart as the senior version. Ferguson plays the evil Morgana.

Gawain’s Shield – a shawl collection

gwainesworld:

The knitting projects in this collection are based on the enchanting medieval story of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Five stunning crescent-shaped shawls represent the five knightly virtues symbolized on Gawain’s shield…” by Karen Robinson (more info here x)
😎

ALSO there are Round Table yarns too (hand-dyed by Karen) named after Arthurian characters (with a story of the inspiration behind the names)!
