(About the love triangle thing). It’s weird because in a lot of the ‘foundational’ books the love triangle isn’t even that big of a deal. I wouldn’t even call it a love triangle in some cases. So it’s just weird that modern tv execs narrowed in on that.

I feel like it’s more ‘loyal’ triangle. Especially in Malory, we definitely get the Lancelot&Guinevere love vibe, and we know Guinevere is married with Arthur. I can admit that yes, the whole thing is a big deal, but there is so much more.

But yes, so many movies just end up getting stuck with it and tv shows as well! (the extra unecessary episode in Merlin BBC and the whole of Camelot Starz). 

In my opinion it’s mostly because movies deal with that – from general culture people mostly know that thing of king arthur – so movies need to put that in their story because that’s the general public knowledge
